Kirsten joined our Waterville office as a receptionist in October 2024 and was promoted to assistant in our business insurance division in October 2025.

With five years of insurance industry know-how and a background as a high school counselor, she brings a warm, welcoming energy to our team.

Kirsten strives to brighten someone’s day with a smile and a friendly greeting before directing people to the service and support they need.

Kirsten graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington and holds her Maine Property & Casualty license.

Outside of work, Kirsten loves spending time with her family, getting creative with her hands through knitting, crocheting, coloring, and painting, and whipping up baked goods – scones are her favorite!

Melissa Davenport joined our company as an account manager in January 2023. Sharp-eyed clients might recognize her name from a stint with GHM Agency (as our Waterville office was previously known), from 2005 to 2019.

Melissa has nearly two decades of insurance industry experience, having worked as a workers compensation adjuster in Connecticut and for GHM once before, also as an account manager in the business insurance division. She maintains both the Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designations.

Because she enjoys getting to know her clients and the new challenges each day brings when you work in our industry, Melissa is glad to be working at Allen Insurance and Financial.

Melissa is a graduate of Ashford University in Clinton, Iowa, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, listening to music, traveling and camping.

Laura is a native of Winslow and a graduate of Thomas College in Waterville. Her insurance career started in 2000 and she works with some of our agency’s largest commercial accounts.

When not at work, Laura volunteers in her community and enjoys spending time in the Maine outdoors.

Bill works with a variety of commercial insurance accounts and specializes in working with businesses in the farm and cannabis sectors. He holds the Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) designation. He started his insurance career with GHM Agency in Waterville in 2011 and became an employee-owner when GHM joined Allen in 2021.

Bill and his wife own a horse farm in Vassalboro, where they live with their three children. Bill grew up in Waterville and graduated from the University of Maine in Farmington.
