A native of Thomaston, now living in Rockland, Patrick Chamberlin is a graduate of Georges Valley High School and Husson University. Before he was a business insurance professional, he spent 12 years working as a commercial fisherman. He joined our company in May 2019.

As a member of the business insurance team at Allen Insurance and Financial of Camden, Patrick is focused on helping clients with comprehensive risk management strategies. He enjoys his work because he can be outdoors often and has the opportunity to work with people who are at the center of the state's economy – Maine business owners.

Patrick became a Licensed Insurance Consultant in August 2023. He also maintains the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor, which he first earned in 2021.

Patrick's commitment to his community started in high school with his experience as a Eagle Scout in his hometown. Today he is a Rockland Rotarian and a member of the board of directors of the Pope Memorial Humane Society in Thomaston.

Outside of work, Patrick enjoys hiking, backcountry skiing and any time in or around the water, as well as spending time with his wife and their two dogs, Cosmo and Chuck.

Nikki Castellano joined our company in 2019. A native of Pleasant Valley, N.Y. and graduate of Newbury College in Boston, her work supports the Allen Insurance benefits division staff.

Outside of work, Nikki, who lives with her family in Camden, is active in her community, currently serving as the marketing coordinator for Megunticook Rowing, a Camden organization in which her sons are active.

Wendy Byrd of Livemore Falls joined Allen Insurance and Financial as an account manager in the company’s insured benefits division in July 2017.

Wendy is a graduate of the University of Maine, and holds a Maine license as a Life and Health Producer. Wendy is also a certified benefits account manager by the National Association of Health Insurance Underwriter (NAHU).

The NAHU Benefits Account Manager Certification provides account manager professionals with an understanding of the complex and critical role an account manager plays in the health and benefits arena.

In July 2022, Wendy earned the Group Benefits Disability Specialist designation from the Hartford School of Insurance.

Outside of work Wendy enjoys reading, gardening and spending time with her family.

An account manager in our marine insurance division, Stephanie joined the Allen team in 2010.
Stephanie holds a bachelor's degree in public administration as well as a certificate in human resources. She holds both the Certified Marine Insurance Professional and the Accredited Customer Service Representative designations.

Stephanie lives in Camden with her husband. She is an active member of a number of local organizations including the Camden Area Business Group and the Camden Rotary Club; she serves on the board of directors of both organizations. Outside of work Stephanie enjoys spending time at the family camp and exploring northern Maine by snowmobile in the winter.

Sherree Craig is a lifelong Mainer and knows employee benefits inside and out.  After graduating from the University of Maine at Orono with a BA in journalism and broadcasting, she began working for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maine and obtained her life and health license, specializing in group medical insurance plans working with hundreds of businesses across the state.

In 1998, Sherree joined Allen Insurance as an Employee Benefit Specialist. She is now a Licensed Life and Health Consultant, working with clients on their medical, life, dental and disability plans.

Sherree works with employers to ensure compliance, develop creative benefit plans, and implement alternative funding. Focusing on the cost management payoffs of disease management and wellness planning, enabling employees to be engaged with their benefit plans, she helps to move client plan results in a favorable direction.

In 2004, Sherree obtained her Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation through the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Wharton School of Business. She continues studies with this program, achieving fellowship status for several bienniums since 2006.

In 2018, Sherree earned an advanced certification in self-funding from the national Association of Health Underwriters.  The NAHU Advanced Self-Funding Certification ensures knowledge of regulatory concerns, service model options, cost-containment strategies and underwriting concepts necessary for providing advice and direction on employer self-funded health plans.

Sherree is active in the Midcoast SHRM chapter as well as the Rockland Rotary Club. She and her husband live in South Thomaston.

Sally Miles joined Allen Insurance and Financial in June 2014.

A native of Belfast and a graduate of the University of Maine in Orono (BS-Business Administration), Sally is a licensed property & casualty and life & health insurance producer in Maine. Sally started her career with Allen as a commercial lines producer and in December 2022 was named Operations Director for our company.

Like many of our staff, Sally is a member of her local Rotary Club (Belfast, since 2015). Outside of work, Sally enjoys reading, physical activity, and spending time with family. She and her family live in Belmont.
