Sally Miles joined Allen Insurance and Financial in June 2014.

A native of Belfast and a graduate of the University of Maine in Orono (BS-Business Administration), Sally is a licensed property & casualty and life & health insurance producer in Maine. Sally started her career with Allen as a commercial lines producer and in December 2022 was named Operations Director for our company.

Like many of our staff, Sally is a member of her local Rotary Club (Belfast, since 2015). Outside of work, Sally enjoys reading, physical activity, and spending time with family. She and her family live in Belmont.

Libby Davis joined Allen in 2006 to help the company transition to a paperless environment. Through Allen's in-house education program, she obtained her property & casualty license shortly thereafter.

Libby earned her Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) designation in December 2008. Libby and her family live in Morrill.

Gene Newton attended local schools and graduated from Belfast Area High School. After attending the University of Rochester and living in the greater Boston area for 10 years, he returned home to Maine in 2005 to raise a family.

Gene’s hobbies include drag racing, coaching youth sports, and most importantly, spending time with his family.

Gene's financial services industry experience includes time at Putnam Investments, Mercer Consulting, and MePERS. He has been with Allen since 2007.

Brian is a Chartered Financial Consultant® and Accredited Investment Fiduciary® Designee who believes that working with clients to help solve their financial concerns is meaningful and important work.

A native of Brewer and a graduate of the University of Maine in Orono, Brian worked in Florida as director of wealth management for Riverside Bank of the Gulf Coast, as a financial consultant for Union Trust in Maine, and as manager of financial services for Prudential Financial.

Working at Allen Insurance and Financial is a kind of homecoming for Brian. In 1990, his father Gary joined the company as its first financial consultant, playing a key role in establishing financial services as an integral part of the company. More recently his son Christopher (3rd generation) has joined the team as a financial advisor.

Outside of work, Brian enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, playing golf and coaching soccer. He and his wife, Dawn, have four grown children.

Amy Bowen grew up in Belfast, attended Belfast High School, the University of Maine at Machias and Beal College in Bangor, receiving a degree in management. She became an Allen employee-owner in 2013 and holds the Accredited Adviser in Insurance, Accredited Customer Service Representative and Certified Professional Insurance Agent designations. Amy lives in Swanville and is involved in the community through various organizations.
