Sherree Craig is a lifelong Mainer and knows employee benefits inside and out.  After graduating from the University of Maine at Orono with a BA in journalism and broadcasting, she began working for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maine and obtained her life and health license, specializing in group medical insurance plans working with hundreds of businesses across the state.

In 1998, Sherree joined Allen Insurance as an Employee Benefit Specialist. She is now a Licensed Life and Health Consultant, working with clients on their medical, life, dental and disability plans.

Sherree works with employers to ensure compliance, develop creative benefit plans, and implement alternative funding. Focusing on the cost management payoffs of disease management and wellness planning, enabling employees to be engaged with their benefit plans, she helps to move client plan results in a favorable direction.

In 2004, Sherree obtained her Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation through the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Wharton School of Business. She continues studies with this program, achieving fellowship status for several bienniums since 2006.

In 2018, Sherree earned an advanced certification in self-funding from the national Association of Health Underwriters.  The NAHU Advanced Self-Funding Certification ensures knowledge of regulatory concerns, service model options, cost-containment strategies and underwriting concepts necessary for providing advice and direction on employer self-funded health plans.

Sherree is active in the Midcoast SHRM chapter as well as the Rockland Rotary Club. She and her husband live in South Thomaston.

A Maine native, Dan is a graduate of Williams College and the University of Maine School of Law, where he was an Editor of the Maine Law Review. He practiced law with the Portland firm of Richardson & Troubh, specializing in insurance law litigation, and represented employers throughout Maine.

Since 2004, Dan has worked in the Camden office of Allen Insurance and Financial. As a group benefits broker and consultant, Dan works with close to 250 clients in Maine on their group benefits plans.

Dan is a member of the Broker Advisory Councils of Aetna, Anthem, and Harvard Pilgrim and works with the State of Maine’s Bureau of Insurance as a subject matter expert in reviewing the state's consultant exam and licensing process.

Dan is a member of the Advisory Council of the Hurricane Island Outward Bound School, where he was an instructor. He coaches youth soccer and spends as much time outdoors as he can.

Brandy brings hands-on experience to the challenges faced by our clients responsible for human resource issues and their company's health insurance plans. Brandy joined our company in 2007 and is licensed as a life and health producer. In 2016, she earned a Consumer Directed Health Care certification from the National Association of Health Insurance Underwriters. She was an account manager in the benefits division before being named director in 2024.

Brandy is a graduate of Husson College where she studied business administration. Before joining Allen Insurance and Financial, Brandy was a human resources manager for Kindred Healthcare, helping employees with all of their employee benefit needs. Before that, she worked for Eastern Maine Medical Center in the billing department where she helped patients resolve claim issues with commercial insurance carriers.
